MC Group supply readymix concrete from our two concrete batching plants in Killarney, Co. Kerry.
Each of MC Group’s plants in Killarney have a fully automated concrete batching system ensuring all orders are to the correct specification, and enabling them to produce up to 120m3 of readymix concrete per hour.
MC Group monitors the performance of their concrete by continuous sampling and testing in their own laboratory, as well as in INAB accredited external laboratories.
MC Group produce a wide range of readymix concrete mixes, dependent on customer specification.
We can produce concrete with a variety of characteristics and performance features, including strengths ranging from 5N to 60N.
Customers also have the choice of incorporating GGBS into their OPC cement mix, as well as using specialised admixtures. For example, steel fibres.
Our Concrete Technical Department is available to discuss and advise on the requirements for each customer.
MC Group supplies top quality readymix concrete throughout Cork, Kerry and West Limerick. The concrete is supplied to these areas in a quick and efficient manner through our modern fleet of 15 trucks. Customers can also avail of trucks incorporating a conveyor belt apparatus if required.
We also run mini mix trucks capable of going to locations where restricted access can be an issue, or for small quantity orders.
Additionally, should concrete pumping be required, MC Group can supply concrete pumps to ensure quicker and easier placement of concrete.
Sustainable development is of vital importance to MC Group. As part of our continuing commitment to reducing our impact on the environment, we can supply concrete made with GGBS.
The use of GGBS in concrete offers a number of advantages over concrete made solely from OPC, including increased durability, which largely increases the lifespan of the structure. The use of GGBS in concrete results in significant CO2 and other emission reductions.
Our readymix concrete has been certified by the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) to ensure compliance with the requirements of IS EN 206: Specification, Performance, Production and Conformity.
Aggregates and sand for the concrete are supplied from our own quarries and are tested to ensure full compliance to the IS EN 12620 standard.
